About DealWize
DealWize exists for a simple reason: most large purchases are made with almost no idea of what a fair price looks like. Insurance, borrowing, home repairs, vehicles, healthcare and legal work are all areas where the seller knows the market and the buyer does not, and that gap is expensive.
Our aim is narrow and practical. We are not trying to tell you what to buy. We try to explain how a category works, what actually drives the price, which differences between options matter and which are decoration, and what to check before committing. Where a decision genuinely depends on individual circumstances, we say so rather than manufacturing a recommendation.
What we cover
- Insurance — What cover actually costs, what the exclusions really mean, and how to avoid paying twice for protection you already have.
- Personal Finance — Where the fees hide, what borrowing really costs over time, and which financial products are worth the paperwork.
- Home Improvement & Services — Realistic prices for the jobs around your house, and how to tell a fair quote from an optimistic one.
- Automotive — Running costs, resale values and the dealership tactics that quietly add thousands to the price.
- Health & Wellness — Clear information on treatments, costs and what the evidence supports — without the supplement adverts.
- Business & Technology — Software pricing, contracts and the tools that genuinely save time for small teams.
- Education & Careers — What qualifications are worth, what they cost, and how to move without wasting years.
- Travel — Where travel money actually goes, and the bookings worth paying more for.
- Senior Living & Retirement — Later-life money and housing decisions, explained without the sales pitch.
- Legal Services — General guidance on common legal situations, what they cost, and when you genuinely need a lawyer.
How we write
Articles are researched and written by our editorial contributors and reviewed before publication. We revise pieces when the underlying facts change, and each article carries the date it was last updated so you can judge how current it is.
We avoid absolute claims about products and prices, because both move. Where we give figures, they are intended to show the shape of a cost rather than to serve as a quote.
Editorial independence
The Site carries advertising, and sponsored results are clearly labelled as such wherever they appear. Advertisers have no involvement in our editorial content and no ability to influence what we publish or how we describe a category. Our guides are not ranked, ordered or shaped by commercial relationships.
Important note
